Unicon Conversion Technologies, Inc.
Unicon Conversion Technologies Inc. is a privately held company incorporated in the State of California. Formed in 1985, we have always specialized exclusively in performing platform migration and modernization projects.
Our long list of customers represent all areas of the private sector, including insurance, financial, healthcare, retail, distribution and manufacturing; and all areas of the public sector including city, county, state and federal.
We have performed hundreds of migration projects of legacy systems including WANG VS, DEC VMS, HP 3000, IBM Mainframe, UNISYS CLEARPATH, IBM AS/400; to pure open systems technologies, running on a wide variety of UNIX, LINUX and Windows platforms. The UNICON migrated system does not contain any emulation layer, screen or data adapters or black box middleware of any kind; it is constructed only from the components (programming language, user screen interface, database, etc) the customer has chosen to be used on the new platform.
Unicon’s reputation for providing successful migration solutions is founded on our solid migration methodology and our specially developed migration tools. Unicon is committed to directing a significant part of our resources to a vigorous research and development effort, thereby ensuring that we constantly monitor, evaluate and incorporate the latest technical innovations into our conversion processes.
All Unicon migration projects are initiated by working closely with each customer to establish a project plan that is tailored to meet their specific individual needs. Unicon realizes that vendor flexibility is critical to the formulation of the solutions necessary to achieve optimum results, and Unicon is also fully aware that all migration projects require an ongoing commitment to customer support.
Unicon’s proven migration solution enables our customers to migrate away from their restrictive proprietary hardware platforms and operating environments to gain the versatility, scalability and cost effectiveness of modern open system platforms.
